Wu-Tang Clan

Wu-Tang Clan is an American hip hop collective formed in Staten Island, New York City, in 1992. Its members include RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and, until his death in 2004, Ol' Dirty Bastard.

From their 1993 genesis in Staten Island, Wu-Tang Clan assembled nine distinct voices into hip-hop's most potent collective, each member operating as both solo artist and crew component—RZA orchestrating the blueprint from behind the boards while GZA delivered lyrical precision on *Liquid Swords*, Raekwon and Ghostface built entire worlds on *Only Built 4 Cuban Linx*, and Method Man became the crew's most accessible entry point. Their dominance in the 90s New York scene placed them alongside peers like Mobb Deep and The Notorious B.I.G.
