Westside Gunn

Alvin Lamar Worthy, known professionally as Westside Gunn, is an American rapper, fashion designer and professional wrestling promoter. He co-founded the hip-hop record label Griselda Records in 2012 with his half-brother Conway the Machine and their cousin Benny the Butcher.

Alvin Worthy built Griselda Records into hip-hop's most visually arresting empire, transforming Buffalo's underground into a fashion-forward movement that caught Eminem's attention hard enough to sign the entire crew to Shady Records. Alongside his half-brother Conway the Machine and cousin Benny the Butcher, Westside Gunn crafted the Hitler Wears Hermes series and albums like FLYGOD and Pray for Paris—records that treated production and sampling like a visual artist treats canvas, each beat a statement about wealth, mortality, and craft. His collaborations with Roc Marciano and others cemented Griselda's position as the rare independent label that refused to compromise its aesthetic for radio play, proving that underground rap could be both artistically uncompromising and undeniably influential.
