Webbie

Webster Gradney Jr., known professionally as Webbie, is an American rapper. Gradney began his rap career in the early 2000s, first appearing on Lil Boosie's albums before releasing his debut album with him, Ghetto Stories.

Webbie's rise from Baton Rouge's underground hinged entirely on his partnership with Lil Boosie—the two formed Trill Entertainment and essentially built their entire catalog around that chemistry, debuting together on *Ghetto Stories* before Webbie carved out his own lane with *Savage Life* in 2005. His signature slurred delivery and trap-influenced production became synonymous with the Dirty South's mid-2000s sound, particularly on tracks that emphasized regional pride over mainstream crossover appeal. While he never commanded the same spotlight as Boosie, Webbie's *Savage Life* series established him as a capable solo artist capable of carrying albums without leaning entirely on his more charismatic partner.
