Silkk the Shocker

Vyshonn King Miller, better known by his stage name Silkk the Shocker, is an American gangsta rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. The brother of Master P, Miller signed with his record label No Limit Records, an imprint of Priority Records to release his debut album, The Shocker (1996).

Riding the No Limit wave as Master P's younger brother, Silkk the Shocker became the label's most reliable hitmaker throughout the late '90s, moving units at a pace that rivaled even P himself. *The Shocker* (1996) and *Charge It 2 da Game* (1998) established him as more than just a nepotistic signing—his smooth, conversational flow and knack for radio-friendly street narratives made him the accessible face of No Limit's empire during its commercial peak. While he never commanded the same cultural gravity as his older sibling, Silkk's consistency across six studio albums proved there was substance beneath the familial connection, earning him a #275 ranking in the hip-hop ecosystem.
