Markeyvius LaShun Cathey, known professionally as Key Glock, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. The cousin of late Memphis rapper Young Dolph, Cathey signed with his record label, Paper Route Empire, to release his commercial mixtape, Glock Season (2017).
Riding the coattails of Young Dolph's Paper Route Empire dynasty, Key Glock emerged as Memphis's answer to trap-inflected street rap, though his prolific output—six studio albums since 2019—often felt more focused on quantity than the distinctive voice his uncle commanded. The *Yellow Tape* series and *Dum and Dummer* franchise established him as a reliable purveyor of trap beats and flexing vocals, yet his relatively modest two-connection ranking reflects a career that, despite family connections and Gucci Mane's 1017 Records co-sign, never quite transcended regional appeal.
