Young Jeezy

Jay Wayne Jenkins, known by his stage name Jeezy, is an American rapper. He is credited, alongside fellow Georgia-based rappers T.I.

Young Jeezy's *Thug Motivation 101* arrived in 2005 as a blueprint for trap's commercial breakthrough, establishing the sound that would define Atlanta's second wave while T.I. claimed the throne. His partnership with Jay-Z on "Go Crazy" during the *Blueprint 3* era proved Jeezy could operate at rap's highest level, trading verses with the game's most calculating mind. The Lil Jon-produced "Put On" (featuring Kanye) became a regional anthem that crystallized the ATL sound—that synth-heavy, hi-hat dominated production that became inescapable. Operating under the CTE World banner and later Def Jam, Jeezy built his catalog through relentless touring and collaboration rather than cultural reinvention, a strategy that paid dividends in longevity if not critical reinvention.
