Chief Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr, known professionally as Skepta, is a Nigerian-British grime MC, rapper, record producer, fashion designer, film director and DJ. Alongside his younger brother Jme, he briefly joined Roll Deep before they became founding members of Boy Better Know in 2005.

Skepta transformed UK grime from a scrappy London underground into a globally recognized force, with *Konnichiwa* becoming the genre's definitive statement—a Mercury Prize winner that proved British rap could dominate without compromising its essence. Founding Boy Better Know alongside his brother Jme, he built the crew into grime's most influential institution, spawning hits like "Shutdown" that became rallying cries for the entire movement. His collaborations with Drake on *More Life* and close friendship with A$AP Rocky bridged the Atlantic, showing American hip-hop's elite that grime MCs deserved a seat at the table.
