Lil Scrappy

Darryl Raynard Richardson III, professionally known as Lil Scrappy, is an American rapper.

Darryl Richardson's rise from Atlanta's streets to crunk royalty hinged entirely on his relationship with Lil Jon, who recognized the raw hunger in Scrappy's voice and made him the face of BME Recordings' expansion beyond club bangers. His 2004 debut *The King of Crunk & BME Recordings Present: Lil Scrappy & Trillville* established him as crunk's bratty counterpoint to Jon's booming production, with "No Problem" becoming an inescapable ringtone anthem that defined mid-2000s trap aesthetics.
