Kay Flock

Kevin Perez, known professionally as Kay Flock, is an American rapper. Hailing from the Bronx, he began his career in 2020 and rose to fame through a variety of singles, most notably "Shake It".

Kay Flock emerged from the Bronx in 2020 as a sharp-edged voice in NYC drill's second wave, riding the momentum that Pop Smoke had ignited before his death. His breakout single "Shake It" landed with the kind of viral immediacy that defined the era—sparse, menacing production paired with Flock's clipped delivery and street-level authenticity. The D.O.A. Tape (2021) and its Care Package reissue showcased a young artist still finding his footing, though his connection to Fivio Foreign placed him firmly within drill's upper tier of emerging talent. Like many drill rappers from his generation, Flock carried the weight of the genre's real-world violence—his career trajectory disrupted by legal troubles that reflected the precarious life many of these artists documented in their music.
