LaRon Louis James Sr., better known by his stage name Juelz Santana, is an American rapper and member of now-defunct hip-hop group, the Diplomats. He is best known for his appearances on group cohort Cam'ron's 2002 singles "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma", which peaked at numbers four and three on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
The Pink Houses of Harlem produced few rappers as dynamically chaotic as Juelz Santana, whose rapid-fire delivery and unpredictable melodicism made him Dipset's wildcard during their early 2000s reign. Before his solo albums *From Me to U* and *What the Game's Been Missing!* established him as a solo force, Juelz had already cemented himself as essential to Cam'ron's breakthrough—his features on "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma" weren't cameos but co-pilots steering those tracks toward the Billboard summit. His mixtape run from 2006 onward, particularly the post-Katrina documentation *From 9/11 to Katrina*, captured a hunger that outlasted many of his contemporaries, even as his commercial window narrowed.
