The Hot Boys are an American hip hop group from Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana, formed in 1997 and composed of rappers B.G., Lil Wayne, Juvenile and Turk.
Formed in 1997 under Birdman's Cash Money Records umbrella, the Hot Boys assembled New Orleans' most explosive young talent—Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., and Turk—into a supergroup that legitimized the city's bounce scene nationally. Their 1999 debut *Get It How U Live* proved the chemistry was undeniable, built on hypnotic production and the quartet's complementary styles, from Wayne's melodic flow to Juvenile's street vernacular. "I Need a Hot Girl" became an anthem that defined late-90s New Orleans rap, though the crew's window proved shorter than expected as individual ambitions pulled them apart. The Hot Boys mattered less for longevity than for validation—they showed that New Orleans could produce multiple generational talents simultaneously, a blueprint that would define Cash Money's dominance throughout the 2000s.
