Caleb Zackary Toliver, known professionally as Don Toliver, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. His debut mixtape, Donny Womack (2018), was released one day prior to fellow Houston rapper Travis Scott's album Astroworld, on which Toliver made a guest appearance.
Don Toliver emerged from Houston's psychedelic underbelly as Travis Scott's most reliable lieutenant, a melodic counterweight to the Cactus Jack empire that transforms Scott's maximalist production into intimate, almost vulnerable spaces. His debut *Heaven or Hell* established the formula—trappy beats suspended in reverb, Toliver's voice drifting between rap and singing, creating that distinctly Houston haziness that feels like smoke-filled late nights. Since then, albums like *Life of a DON* and *HARDSTONE PSYCHO* proved he wasn't just a feature artist coasting on Scott's name; his ability to float over left-field production and maintain melodic hooks gives him the independence to stand alone.
