Denzel Curry

Denzel Rae Don Curry is an American rapper. Born and raised in the Carol City neighborhood, Miami Gardens, Florida, Curry started rapping while in the sixth grade and began working on his first mixtape, King Remembered Underground Tape 1991–1995, in 2011, which was influenced by underground Florida rapper SpaceGhostPurrp.

Denzel Curry emerged from Carol City's underground rap underground as one of Miami's most uncompromising voices, channeling SpaceGhostPurrp's experimental ethos through his own hyperkinetic delivery and production choices. His breakthrough came with *Imperial* (2016), but *TA13OO* (2018) cemented his reputation—a furious, conceptually dense album that proved he could match the intensity of his peer XXXTentacion while maintaining complete artistic autonomy. Curry's discography spans *ZUU*, *UNLOCKED*, and *Melt My Eyez See All* (2022), each project showing a rapper willing to blur genre boundaries and collaborate across underground scenes without diluting his core aesthetic.
