Bone Thugs-n-Harmony

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony or simply Bone Thugs is an American hip-hop group formed in 1991 in Cleveland, Ohio. Consisting of rappers Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony are known for helping pioneer the chopper rap style and the use of rap-singing in popular music, as well as bringing exposure to Midwestern hip-hop.

From Cleveland's concrete came five voices moving at velocities hip-hop had never heard before—Bone Thugs-n-Harmony didn't just rap faster, they fundamentally rewired how melody and speed could coexist on a record. Eazy-E's Ruthless Records gamble on the crew paid immediate dividends with their 1995 debut *E. 1999 Eternal*, a regional phenomenon that went national on the strength of "Tha Crossroads," their elegiac masterpiece that proved chopper rap could carry genuine emotional weight. Their 1997 collaboration with The Notorious B.I.G. on "Notorious Thugs" became the East Coast's reluctant endorsement of the Midwest sound, with Krayzie Bone's verse still ranking among the most technically devastating guest appearances ever recorded.
