2 Chainz

Tauheed Epps, known professionally as 2 Chainz, is an American rapper, songwriter, and actor. Born and raised in College Park, Georgia, he gained recognition as one-half of the Southern hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, alongside hometown rapper Earl "Dolla Boy" Conyers.

Tauheed Epps emerged from Atlanta's trap scene as Playaz Circle's wittier half before his 2012 solo debut *Based on a T.R.U. Story* repositioned him as a versatile hook man and quotable rapper—the "2 Chainz" affectation itself became a calling card, turning repetition into personality. His Kanye West collaboration on "Birthday Song" proved he could cross over without diluting his trap credentials, while subsequent albums like *B.O.A.T.S. II #METIME* and *Pretty Girls Like Trap Music* showcased his ability to balance club bangers with introspection.
